No, starting 2022 I will be planning weddings exclusively at The Orchard.

I have had the privilege of planning weddings all over the Gorge since 2003. I’m grateful for the opportunity to streamline my planning process and offer my services to couples getting married at The Orchard only.

If I book you as my wedding planner when do we start working together?

We start working together as soon as you decide we are a good fit. I don’t set limits on the amount of time I spend with my couples. I want to help as much as possible. I know this is not typical of planners but it is important to me that I am available to answer your questions throughout the entire planning process. There are specific tasks we will work on together (timeline, vendor recommendations, menu & bar selections, guest counts, seating arrangements, etc.) but there are always little things that come up and you are always welcome to reach out and ask me for advice.

Do you offer different wedding planning packages?

No, I only have one package. I don’t like to complicate things and I like to help as much as I can. I consider myself much more helpful than a day-of or month-of planner but I don’t charge as if I am a full service planner since there are some tasks I don’t take care of. These are areas couples normally like to take care of themselves. Examples: booking and paying vendors, booking overnight accommodations and attending vendor meetings.

Are you a wedding designer?

No, I don’t consider myself one. In my personal experience your florist brings the majority of design to a venue like The Orchard. Since the venue already provides beautiful furniture, views and built in infrastructure such as lighting, shade, restrooms, etc. there is little else needed. Celilo provides the place settings and if you are looking for table runners, colored goblets, chargers, votives, lounge seating, additional signage I can refer you to local vendors that have great inventory available to you. I can help put all the pieces of your vision together.

What are the next steps?

Once we have both decided I am a good fit for your wedding I will have you sign a simple contract and put a $500 non-refundable deposit down for your date. I will set your project up in Aisle Planner (a super awesome online program I pay for) so we can both use it then we start planning.

How much do you work with my other wedding vendors?

I am available to your wedding vendors throughout the planning process. You are welcome to have them contact me with questions at any point. This helps if they have not worked at The Orchard before, most questions are logistical and easy for me to answer. My team will contact all your vendors a couple weeks before your wedding. We like to confirm details ahead of time, share our finalized timeline and double check they have our contact information so they can reach out about any last minute details that may arise. This is helpful because you will be spending time with your family and friends before your celebration.

What is your role at Celilo and how does that help you as a wedding planner?

My partnership with Celilo allows me to be more involved with weddings. As Celilo’s catering coordinator I help our clients through the catering process. We start with menus, packages, contracts, and deposits then move into the timeline, final guest counts, finalizing menu, dessert, bar details and more. This can be overwhelming if it’s not your day job. I update our team as we go, and they know everything that is planned ahead of time. We have an event manager that I work one on one with during the planning process and is onsite the day of your event. This is who your wedding planner works with the day of. If I am your wedding planner, I work with Celilo’s event manager just like any other wedding planner would. When I am onsite, I am working as a wedding coordinator not part of Celilo’s service team. We have created a system that works well for everyone.

Most couples do not realize how important your catering team is. They will be face to face taking care of all the special people in your life. Celilo serves fresh, local food and cooks onsite during your wedding. This is incredibly special, and guests can taste the difference. With Celilo you have a team of professionals taking care of everything you need on your wedding day. I love being a part of Celilo because they genuinely care about you and your guests.

Since you don’t work at other venues can I assume you are available for all dates The Orchard is booking?

Starting 2025 my team and I are available for every wedding booked at The Orchard.
